Hello World! from Portugal

Echo.... Just taking a second to say "hi" and initiate a little chat since it seems dead in here.

2026 has started off on a rather high note, with more waves of Americans hitting our shores in Portugal. In fact, since 2017, there has been a 250% jump in Americans as part of the overall demographic mix. I can see it and hear it everywhere I go... Though admittedly there is still a big British skew to the English speaking mix.

In any event, lets keep the conversation lively. I tend to dip in from time to time as clients request resources that I think some of you might have access to. But I think I am going to start sharing some of my cross border advisor experiences on here, too, and maybe inspire some of the rest of us to do this as well. I mean, I literally am seeing at least 2 or 3 brand new American expats per week right now, and that means my practice is literally buzzing with cross border advisory work every single day of the week, including weekends (not proud there... As I am certainly not setting a good example of the American who is living the European lifestyle...)

Alright everybody, get those ADVs ready, the March filing deadline is right around the corner. And hope all of you are well and looking forward to the week.
